Cirencester Town 3 Bristol Manor Farm 0
For the first half hour of this fast-flowing game the visitors looked to be gaining
the ascendency by virtue of some good one-touch football and movement.
But from the moment Cirencester took a 32 nd minute lead, quite against the run-
of-play, the game turned firmly in their favour.
During that opening half-hour both Jordan Metters and Joe Tumelty had gone
close for the Farm whilst at the other end John Dennis curled a 10 th minute
effort past the left upright.
Manor Farm produced a great flowing move in the 20 th minute which
culminated in Metters playing a great one-two with Tumelty before hitting a
sweet half-volley just wide of the post.
Cirencester went 1-0 up when a quickly-taken free kick found Jack Freeman in
space inside the Farm penalty, the midfielder squeezing a shot in from 15-yards
via a deflection.
Two goals in two minutes inside the opening ten minutes of the second half
meant there was no way back for Manor Farm. Josh Grace-Parsons cut inside
from the right before hitting a firm strike into the top corner and just two
minutes later the dangerous Alan Griffin was brought down in the box allowing
Centurions skipper Michael Pook to step up and finish coolly down the middle
from the spot kick.
